High End Brands to Love!

Hello!

I thought I'd do a post on some higher-end brands that do and do not test on animals because my last post was on drugstore brands.
I'm going to be honest here, my makeup collection isn't big at all. I recently fell back in love with makeup maybe a year and a half ago, and before that I essentially had Clinique bonuses I'd stolen from my mom. So anyway, my point is - my high-end collection is even more minimal.
Let's get into it:

some high-end brands I love!:

-Urban Decay
-Clinique
-Philosophy
-MAC
-Laura Mercier
-OPI (Personally, I think it's high-end)
-Tarte
-Benefit
-Too Faced
-Stila

some high-end brands that still test:

-Yves Saint Laurent
-NARS
-Dolce & Gabbana
-Shu Uemura (owned by L'Oreal)
-Shseido
-Lancome

Luckily there are less that do test!

Looking up on google if brands test or not can sometimes be confusing. A lot of the times you'll get links, say from yahoo answers that are sometimes incorrect.
For instance:

Googling whether or not Benefit tests on animals will get you a ton of yahoo answers saying YES THEY DO. But if you actually go to their website they tell you that they do not.
You're always better off trusting the company themselves rather than yahoo answers :].

Like Benefit, if you google philosophy's animal testing policies you won't get a definite answer, however, on their website they clearly state: "we absolutely do not conduct animal testing with philosophy products. we are fully committed to using alternatives to animal testing to ensure the safety of our products."

I thought I'd put here a picture of my tiny mac eyeshadow collection (in a palette because it ends up being cheaper in the long run):
L to R: Orb, All That Glitters, Crystal, Cork, Satin Taupe, Cranberry, Club, Satellite Dreams

Thanks for reading!

wow, your eyeshadow palette is my dream palette! I love all the colours! I dont yet own any MAC eyeshadows as I dont live anywhere near a MAC stand and I dont really trust buying products online as I can't test them out! So, next time I am near a stand, I shall indeed be buying a majority of these colours!! :)
Oh, and I think its terrible that such high end brands still test on animals, it really is disgusting, there is no need for it. Especially is cheaper brands can manage to test elsewhere, then they really have no excuse!
